Project Engineer – New Product Development / Electrical Systems Engineer

HOURLY RATES DOE: £42.00 – £58.50 per hour

LOCATION: Hybrid Work / Split Between Home & Midlands Manufacturing Hub

 

We are currently supporting a global automotive engineering group with an important phase of growth. On the back of post-pandemic surging demand, we have several 12 – 18-month contracts available within the Electronic Engineering department.

 

THE ROLE OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ENGINEERS:

  • You will be responsible for providing support on both short & and long-term projects.
  • The short-term projects will consist of end of line compliance & electrical warranty support.
  • The long-term projects will see you heavily involved in the development of new vehicle launches and new product development.
  • You will be involved with very Electronic Component within the supply chain of the vehicle, including but not limited to, Instrument Packs, Engine Controllers, Switches, Chassis Controls, Battery Alternators, spec of components for certain terrains
  • Other – Verification against EMC Regulations

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

To be considered for this contract assignment, we are looking for experience in the following areas:

  • OEM Experience
  • Experience dealing directly with component suppliers
  • Electrical Component Experience
  • Control Units
  • PCB & Circuit Board analysis
  • Electronics Degree – HNC / HND also considered
  • Interpretation of Schematic Diagrams
  • Experience with Controller Area Networks
  • Validation Testing experience
  • Industry – Aerospace / Automotive / Rail / Transport

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This is an initial 12-month contract, with a view to a possible extension. The work has been determined to fall inside of IR35
