  • Responsible for: Departmental staff (Production & Procurement)
  • Liaison with: Pre-Construction Team, Designers, Contracts Managers, Installation Teams, Fabricators and Suppliers.

 

Mercury Hampton is working with a client who is a specialist provider of quality aluminium glazing systems predominantly to main contractors.

Based on the Wirral, they are a long-established client and have carried out multiple projects across the UK.

 

THE ROLE

Based in Head Office and responsible for the planning and delivery of materials to the site you will organise the delivery of complete materials, components, and plant packages for both production and site operations in a timely and economical fashion to allow works to proceed in line with programmes and budgets.

Working within the Production department as the Operations team representative to coordinate and drive projects you will report to the Operations Director.

Develop an understanding of site requirements through the setting up of effective lines of communication with the onsite Contract Delivery Teams, including regular programme updates as work proceeds to ensure they are on time, in full, no errors

Support the Contract Delivery Teams by communicating progress, changes, and deliveries to sites in a proactive manner.

Development opportunities will be provided in any IT specifics (such as Logikal, Project) for the right candidate.

 

THE PERSON

You will need:

  • Experience in Aluminium Glazing industry – Essential
  • Experience in Team Management – Essential
  • Planning & Programming – Essential
  • Site Experience  – Essential
  • Experience in Procurement Management – Preferable
  • Experience in Logikal software – Preferable

JOB-RELATED COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment handling multiple projects
  • Focussed and tenacious problem solver
  • Experience in Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Proficient in excel
  • Organised and methodical and used to working to set deadlines
  • Good numerical ability.
  • Able to calmly deal with customers and suppliers
  • Committed to delivering high-quality results to customers and colleagues
  • Full UK Driving license
