Based in the Northwest, my client are an award-winning games developer whose games have been played by millions all over the world. They have brought attention to upcoming IPs and have built games for some of the most internationally recognised gaming brands in the world.

THE ROLE/THE COMPANY:

My client is looking for highly creative and experienced Lead Artists to join them in their Northwest hub or their new studio in the Midlands. This is a rare opportunity to join a studio that is growing and play a significant role in helping to mould it – in terms of culture and the company itself.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Support and report directly to the Art Director.
• Pushing the visual aspect of our games to the highest possible standards.
• Overseeing the team in their various artistic specialities.
• Be directly responsible for delivering all aspects of art on an exciting project.
• Responsibility for assisting the production team in planning production time frames.

ESSENTIAL TO HAVE:

• Extensive knowledge of art production on AAA games.
• Expert knowledge of Art fundamentals and their application.
• Expert knowledge of 3D pipelines and asset management.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Previous experience working on, and completing, AAA titles, ideally at least one in a position of authority related to Art direction.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Project management or planning experience.
• Experience working within mobile/VR.
• Working knowledge of marketing or departments outside of immediate dev.
• Sketching or concept art skills.
