ABOUT THE COMPANY YOU’LL BE EXCELLING FOR

Rapidly growing, cash-rich and currently in the process of launching a new global commercial strategy! Our client is a well-respected UK market leader in the provision of contract manufacturing services for electro-mechanical products and solutions.

They actively support OEM’s of all types primarily within food processing, mining, scientific, energy, energy, power and general manufacturing. Some of the products and systems they get involved with include pneumatics, hydraulics, electronic components, control systems, cabling, vacuum technology to name a few. They sell to OEM Machine Builders, Capital equipment Manufacturers.

This is a home-based position with responsibility for the Midlands and Northern customers, M62 Corridor. As Business Development Manager you will manage a large spending account base with both cross-selling and upselling opportunities throughout. As part of the new strategy, we also anticipate a heavy amount of time also focusing and dedicated to new business development within the sales region. We anticipate this region will generate a multimillion turnover as order values are typically in the region of 500K plus. In this position, you will report to the Sales Director who will dedicate time to ensuring you are fully up to speed with their product and service offering.  and receive full support from a large internal commercial and technical team.

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • We are looking to speak with candidates who have a proven track record of new business development within the manufacturing/engineering industries.
  • You will have sold to OEM Machine Builders / Capital Machinery OEM’s
  • The ideal candidate will be someone with high energy and focused on pure hunting as opposed to account/relationship management.
  • It would be considered advantageous to have extensive experience selling into OEM’s throughout multiple sectors.
  • We are open on the technical background as product and service offering will be taught but engineering/industrial sales experience is a must.
