Our Client is leading manufacturer of food and drinks, they have real expertise in growing brand awareness and brand management globally. They have ambitious growth plans, they want to double the size of their international business for a market leading hot drinks brand. Utilising their extensive global customer base, gaining support and assistance with all internal departments, and leveraging your extensive network of international contacts you will assist them to continue to grow sales globally.
You will be an experienced FMCG Food and drinks export sales professional. Ideally you will have a proven track record of new market entry in the USA and Canada. You will understand the routes to market and will have a proven track record of growing a brand in international markets selling in to distribution, retail, wholesale and other major end users such as international Hotel chains. You will write the plan for the USA and Canada and utilizing your market knowledge set up from scratch their distributor and agents’ network.
You will manage all existing customers; however, you will have a strong Business Development bias and enjoy the chase of winning new accounts. You will be an experienced FMCG food / drinks export sales professional, you will have a strategic knowledge of the best route to market and you will want to leverage your strong relationships / contacts with international retailers, agent network and buying groups. You will be able to priorities and develop a clear direction and build an export road map.
As you develop sales of this well-known brand / hot beverage you will look to split the regions up and recruit a team around you. You will deliver budgeted sales and maintain margins and manage pricing, you will assess new markets and grow the customer base. You will take full responsibility for implementing the brand marketing strategy, using your international knowledge you will develop bespoke plans for each region and each specific customer account.
You will work with new product development to identify new opportunities and look to add value and innovation to this category as well as take responsibility for global merchandising of your products. Moreover, you will look to develop own label contracts and opportunities. You will deliver excellent customer service with customers and internal departments, you will demonstrate and develop best practice for export sales. Ensuring all department follow your standard purchasing, category and range management, finance, logistics, local store management.
