This company is a manufacturer of engineering products and solutions, mainly mechanical and hydraulic; with applications throughout military, defence, construction, capital equipment, marine, transport, mining and many more. They have increased UK turnover by 30% over a two period to circa 10M with ambitions to increase past 15M +. They are part of a group of companies that turnover over 60M and operate globally. Due to strategic changes my client is now looking to recruit a ‘sales and commercially’ focused General Manager with a passion and desire to take over this sleeping giant with great potential!
As General Manager, you will have full P& L accountability and will report all business activity to the Senior Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for complete operational running of the UK business to ensure the company’s budget is achieved. Their sales bookings for 2019 is running over schedule and sensible growth objectives are in place for 2020 onwards. They are particularly strong within the military, off highway and mobile construction market; dealing with customers such as CAT, JCB, Terex and many more. Although we require the General Manager to be sales / commercially focus; this role will involve managing all departments throughout operations, sales, finance, marketing, operations and distribution.
