This business is a leading global multi-million-pound manufacturer delivering solutions into projects within critical environments, including Defence, Medical, Test & Measurement and Broadcast. This company have a highly acclaimed manufacturing process and delivers World Class quality and reliability. They specialise in electronic/electrical components. This position will suit a sophisticated and ambitious individual looking to join a major organisation with an enviable reputation for quality and service. Due to significant expansion plans, the group is looking for an Account Manager who will focus on ‘spearheading’ their global client growth strategy.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Utilising your technical knowledge, your customer focus, and your exemplary communication skills, you will develop large, international accounts
- Be responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of these customers
- Oversee progress of account action plans, objectives, and overall budgets
- Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
- Writing business proposals, customer forecasts and negotiating with stakeholders
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
- Researching business opportunities and viable additional income streams
- Drafting and reviewing contracts
- Developing and maintaining strong internal relationships, including overseas offices
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE
- Demonstrable track record managing global customers
- Can demonstrate you have delivered profitable client growth (small to big)
- Ideally, with a technical sales background – this could be from any discipline
- A strong strategic thinker with exceptional account management skills
- Outstanding at networking corporate customers, gaining buy-in, and then delivering value across all relevant divisions
- You will be an excellent communicator and be able to connect and sell to a wide variety of functional decision-makers
- A proven track record of business-to-business sales, any experience of medium to long cycle selling would be advantageous
