Role: Mechanical / Assembly Technician
Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 + Benefits
Location: Greater Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, St Helens, Blackburn, Preston, Chorley
Company: HVAC Manufacturing Company supplying to customers within the Medical and Pharmaceutical sector all over world.
Due to continued success and an increasing order book, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a busy Production Team.
As the Mechanical Assembly Technician, you’ll work closely with a number of departments such as design and quality to ensure the smooth assembly of a variety of products going into the pharmaceutical industry.
While the role is primarily workshop based (approx. 80%), some travel is required. For example, but not limited to, visiting client sites to install pre-assembled equipment.
To assemble our Pharmaceutical product range including sub-assemblies within engineering standards in a timely manner.
Use and maintenance of tools for the purpose of completing engineering tasks.
Assist other trades as may be required to help complete work activities
Respond to emergency situations as needed to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Bring technical queries to the attention of the wider team as appropriate.
Prioritise the workload, ensuring deadlines are maintained consistently.
Work effectively and proactively with procurement to ensure that any supplier is controlled and approved.
To realise or establish any potential risks to a project’s delivery
Effectively communicate with a variety of nationalities and cultures.
Consider all relevant Directives and Industry Standards in the design and proposal of equipment.
Responsibility for presenting technical solutions and improvements during assembly of our product range.
To attend and actively take part in any handover meetings.
Any other reasonable activity requested by line manager or Directors.
In order to be successful in this position as a competent Toolmaker, you will have the following skills and experience;
You’ll have a Pharmaceutical or Medical device Manufacturing environment and will be accustom to working within a Cleanroom environment.
You’ll have knowledge of the assembly of manufacturing equipment.
Experience in following engineering instructions
Proficiency in the reading and understanding of manufacturing drawings.
Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Principles.
Basic Knowledge of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Principles.
This is a full-time position with training and development built in to upskill engineers to a higher level of working.
