This company have recently been acquired and merged into an international business who are at the forefront of specialist and precision engineering technology, they have a group turnover of circa 150M.
This business is a North West based SME but with full support and backing of the larger international group. offering diverse engineering services ranging from outsourced manufacturing, CNC, milling, turning and bespoke precision engineering products.
They have received exponential investment and now looking for a commercial leader to play a lead role in their growth. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager or Commercial Manager to progress into an executive Directorship role with full ownership and responsibility of the end result.
As Commercial Manager/Sales Manager/Director, you will be responsible for all commercial activities within the business, this includes sales, marketing, customer service, proposals, projects, quotations, after sales etc. Initially, this will be a senior autonomous position with responsibility for growing a complete department. This is a full life cycle commercial role; enquiry generation to sales/project completion.
They are looking to further develop their existing accounts through cross-selling the group’s portfolio and capabilities, whilst also identifying new business opportunities and the acquisition of new clients in new markets. Therefore, we anticipate half of your time will be involved in front line face to face selling with the remainder focused on all other commercial responsibilities.
Their products and services have the capability to service many sectors, from MOD, manufacturing, construction, HVAC, aerospace and industrial to name a few.
The business currently has a turnover of circa 2M but recently outlined ambitions to increase this to 5M via heavy investment and support from the group company. In return for achieving this, they will reward the successful candidate with a Directorship and 10% of the profits paid as a yearly bonus.
This position reports directly to the Group Managing Director and could eventually progress into a UK Managing Director role on the basis of commercial success.
