The group has a multi-billion-dollar turnover and a wide variety of products and solutions relating to valves, filtration, piping, pumps, vessels, turbines and more. They also provide bespoke to-order fluid optimisation solutions into the energy, petrochemical, LNG and Oil & Gas industries globally.
This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious business that have recently been acquired by a large international blue-chip company. Thanks to this, they are in the unique position of having access to unlimited resources and support from the parent group, but they are continuing to trade separately and independently. This means very little corporate red tape to cut through leaving you to do what you do best.
Primarily UK, home-based but MUST be willing to spend two days at Head Office in the Midlands.
This will be a mixture of both home and office-based (West Midlands) work and requires regular travel. You will conduct regular face-to-face meetings with clients, and the sales team, and once a month you will be asked to attend a sales meeting at Head Office to discuss and share pipeline and on-going projects with peers and the leadership team. 40% of your time will be taken up travelling around the globe; Europe, Asia, USA, Japan and wherever else the business may require you to go.
As Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Sales Director and Executive Board with a view to achieving the company’s commercial objectives. This position reports directly to the Sales Director.
You will be heavily focussed on networking existing clients whilst supporting the company to win new sales projects. Primarily you will work with EPC’s and Contractors but also with OEM’s and End-users when required. The majority of orders and projects will be bespoke to manufacture, with an average order value ranging between 500k to 2m. This is complex solution selling, utilising your commercial acumen and technical understanding solution selling, features and benefits. Their products and solutions offer the highest level of optimisation and performance, including filtration, vessels, instrumentation and associated, so you’ll need to be on your A-game and know your product inside-out.
