As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Operations Manager to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily operations within the building product manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient and smooth production processes.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to achieve operational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including production, procurement, quality assurance, and logistics, to streamline operations and ensure seamless coordination.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational efficiency and meet targets.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, product specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Prepare operational reports, analyse data, and present insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to building product manufacturing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in operations management within the building product manufacturing sector or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve operational excellence.
  • Sound understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organisation.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry certifications.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and other operational software.
