Job Title: Senior Cost Engineer Location: Manchester (Work from home available 3 days per week) Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + Benefits Industry: Renewable Energy

Role Responsibilities: Develop and maintain cost management processes and systems for the project. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and establish control budgets. Monitor budgets, commitments, and the value of work done (VoWD) through comprehensive reporting. Implement cost plans and S curves, integrating project schedules to track plan, actual, and forecast costs. Manage a cost trend database for variance analysis and present findings to project management. Coordinate change control meetings and validate cost estimates for approved changes. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost information in SAP. Support procurement processes, including cost estimates and contract negotiations. Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a cost engineer, with at least 5 years in the energy sector. Strong knowledge of cost management methodologies and tools, particularly for large-scale projects. Proficiency in cost engineering software and SAP, along with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working on project sites is essential.
