Are you a dynamic and forward-thinking leader with a passion for engineering? Our client is seeking a UK Service Centre Manager to join their team at Bromborough, Wirral.

The Role:

As the UK Service Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our engineering Service team and service centre, ensuring efficiency, safety, and exceptional service delivery.

This role is in a high pressure, fast paced environment and needs an individual who can remain calm, keep control and to a schedule in a project based workshop delivering repair, maintenance and overhauls of equipment. This candidate needs to be driven, encourage growth and manage a busy schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular health & safety reviews with the service centre engineers
  • Handle all projects from enquiry to completion
  • Scheduling/Allocating jobs for the service engineers
  • Ensuring jobs are kept to budget with an On Time In Full mindset – OTIF
  • Creating of Risk Assessment and Method Statements for site works
  • Continuous improvement and development of efficiency in the service centre.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the industrial engineering sector such as: Engineering Manager, Service Manager, Toolroom Manager, Assembly shop manager, general manager
  • Commercially aware with a strong customer focus.
  • Experience in various pump types including submersible, centrifugal, end suction pumps, HVAC equipment, and general-purpose pumps. Strong experience in other rotating equipment will also be considered.
  • Experience in Continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, 8D
  • Possession of a full valid driving license.
