As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join their dynamic and field-based Applications Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual ready to take their career to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operation and programming of CNC machine tools, ensuring safety and competency.
- Manage projects professionally, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to engineering specifications, and staying within budget while maintaining proper project documentation for full traceability.
- Utilize the Field Service App to log daily tasks, document progress, and address any issues during visits.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the product range and participate in training programs to stay updated on new control systems and machine models.
- Travel across the UK and Ireland, with the flexibility to work away from home during weekdays.
Candidate Requirements
Essential: Siemens programming experience.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, 5-axis machining centres, and multi-tasking turning centres. Familiarity with Fusion 360 is advantageous.
- Time-served engineer with at least 5 years’ experience working with CNC turning and milling machine tools.
- Recognized engineering qualification with an apprenticeship.
- Residing in the Midlands area.
- Strong communication skills, professional demeanour, and ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
